It’s been seven years since Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds released a new album, and now the legendary singer/composer/producer is coming back with an all-female all-star project.

The 12-time Grammy winner offered a taste of his new music when he performed the first single from his upcoming Girls’ Night Out album, “Keeps on Fallin,’” with Ella Mai Sunday night during the BET Awards. The album will be his first release on his new label, Capitol Records.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to be signing to a legacy label like Capitol. They have welcomed me with open arms and treat me like family,” Edmonds said in a statement. “In the end, that is what it’s all about – doing what you love with people who have the same love for music as you do.”

In addition to Mai, Girls’ Night Out, which will be released October 29, will also feature Kehlani, Ari Lennox, Queen Naija and more female stars.

“I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it. The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear,” the 64-year-old added.

Babyface wrote and produced the seven-times Platinum Waiting to Exhale soundtrack in 1995. It featured Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige and Brandy.

During his historic career, Edmonds has produced and written 125 Top 10 hits, 42 No. 1 R&B hits and 16 No. 1 pop hits. He is the only person to win the Grammy Producer of the Year award four times.

With his writing and producing partner LA Reid, they created LaFace Records in 1989 and launched the careers of several stars, including Usher, Toni Braxton, TLC, Ciara and Outkast.
