Jennifer Hudson‘s wax figure at the Madame Tussauds in New York recently received a fashion update!
After joining the small but elite group of stars who’ve won all four of the top entertainment awards — Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony — a special ring donning the phrase “EGOT” was placed on the wax figure’s left-hand pointer finger.
“Awhh look yal ! My @TussaudsUSA wax figure got her EGOT ring , now I gotta get me one ! I like that !” she wrote on social media, sharing a before-and-after video of the statue both with and without the shiny new jewel.
Hudson earned the high honor after winning a Tony at the 2022 ceremony for her work as a producer on the hit Broadway play A Strange Loop. In a celebratory video shared after her win, Hudson said, “As I said when I won the Oscar, look what God can do. Well, he did it again.”
Along with her Tony Award, Hudson’s EGOT includes an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Dreamgirls at the 2007 Academy Awards; a Daytime Emmy for executive producing the 2020 animated film Baby Yaga; a 2017 Grammy for The Color Purple and a Grammy for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut album in 2009.
