The Dream is releasing a special documentary to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of his debut Love/Hate, the “album that changed everything.” The film is slated to drop in December to coincide with the month he released the project.
Love/Hate came out on December 11, 2007, and boasted the singles “Shawty Is a 10,” “Falsetto” and “I Luv Your Girl” — which all charted on the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40.
The record marked The Dream’s first body of work as a singer. He’d previously made a name for himself as a songwriter and producer, helping develop songs like Rihanna‘s “Umbrella,” Beyoncé‘s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Bed” by J. Holiday.
Most recently, he tapped into his production skills for Bey’s “Break My Soul,” the lead single off her Renaissance album.
