SZA has secured a role in her very first movie. As Deadline reports, the Grammy-winning singer will star in an upcoming Eddie Huang film titled Tuna Melt

The dramedy follows Huang, a hitman who unexpectedly meets the love of his life — after a breakup and the completion of a hit. The singer will take on the role of his love interest.

News of SZA’s forthcoming film debut comes months after she randomly revealed she “got the part” she wanted in an unknown project. “She’s an actress,” the singer wrote on her Instagram Story in December. She made her acting debut in 2020 when she appeared in Looking for LaToya, a show within Issa Rae‘s HBO series Insecure.

Tuna Melt, directed and written by Huang, currently has no set release date. Chloe Cherry, who plays Faye in Euphoria, also stars in the film.
