Fat Joe is preparing to discuss his life and career in a unique way: The rapper will star in a one-man stand-up, set to premiere this fall.
According to Billboard, the show will detail the highs and lows of Joey’s career, pulling from some of the stories shared in his upcoming memoir, The Book of Jose. Joe’s music will be heard throughout the performance, and throwback footage and video interviews will be displayed.
“The world will be getting Fat Joe at his most authentic, vulnerable, and comedic self on that stage,” the rapper said in a press release. “I’m not holding anything back. I’ve always taken pride in my storytelling, but we’re about to take it to the next level.”
Fat Joe’s one-man stand-up will be directed by Chris Robinson, and co-produced by Magic Lemonade and Roc Nation. The show will feature appearances from a few celebrities, including Dave Chappelle, who will introduce the event.
“I’m grateful to Dave Chappelle, Roc Nation, and Magic Lemonade for their support in sharing my story and helping make this one-man show the biggest event ever,” Joey said.
