Here’s the culture’s latest music for the Labor Day weekend.
Babyface and Ella Mai, “Keeps on Fallin’ ” — The duo dropped a video inspired by the British Regency-era courtship rituals. Babyface portrays a duke, Mai is a queen courted by a prince and Tiffany Haddish appears as her mother.
Latto, “It’s Givin’” — After debuting the song at the BET Awards, Latto released a star-studded video featuring Chlöe and Halle Bailey, Ella Mai and more. The Atlanta rapper will open Lizzo‘s The Special Tour, which kicks off September 23 in Sunrise, Florida.
Nicki Minaj, “Super Freaky Girl” — Nicki Minaj has dropped the video for her history-making “Super Freaky Girl.” The song is the first solo hit and the first single from a female rapper to debut at #1 since Lauryn Hill in 1998.
In the Barbie-inspired clip, Hunger Games heartthrob Alexander Ludwig portrays Ken. When he runs down neighbors with his sports car, Minaj fires him up with a blowtorch. Their house goes up in flames, leading the couple to improvise with a backyard barbecue.
Lil Baby, “Detox” — The video for Lil Baby’s new track features him running a stock market brokerage, boxing and teaching yoga.
DJ Drama & Jeezy, “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya” — DJ Drama and Jeezy unite once again with a video shot outside of the venue that inspired many of their hits, Atlanta’s Magic City strip club.
Freddie Gibbs featuring Moneybagg Yo, “Too Much” — The rappers clean up at the casino in the video for the first single from Gibbs’ $oul $old $eperately album, due out September 30.
Babyface Ray featuring Digga D, “Goofies” — One day before opening the Made In America festival Saturday in Philadelphia, Babyface Ray released this new track, featuring British MC Digga D.
