Nipsey Hussle‘s debut album, Victory Lap, has been honored with RIAA double Platinum certification five years to the day of its release. The project, which dropped February 16, 2018, spawned a few singles that have also secured special certification.

“Double Up” featuring Belly and Dom Kennedy is now three-times Platinum; “Hussle & Motivate” and “Grinding All My Life” are officially two-times Platinum; and the title track has earned its way to Platinum status.

Additionally, two of Nipsey’s tracks — “Real Big” featuring Marsha Ambrosius and the Teefli-assisted “Keyz 2 the City 2” — have been certified Gold.

Victory Lap, Nipsey’s only studio album and his first major commercial release, earned a nomination for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammys. He was killed on March 31, 2019, roughly a month after attending the awards show.
