Lil Wayne‘s Dedication 2 will soon be available on streaming services. DJ Drama, who hosted the Gangsta Grillz mixtape, revealed the news during a recent appearance on Rap Radar.

The mixtape’s release was held back due to its use of samples, according to Drama, but now that it will make its streaming debut, he figured they should take their time.

“It wasn’t original music, so it couldn’t go on streaming platforms, and I just feel like today, in 2023, if we going to do it, let’s do it, and it might take a little bit of time and be done,” Drama said. “We are dropping Dedication 2 on streaming platforms this year,” he continued, noting “it’s gonna have some new music along with it.”

Dedication 2 was a Gangsta Grillz mixtape released back in 2006. Years later, DJ Drama’s mixtape series continues, with a De La Soul iteration on the way.

“We got a Gangsta Grillz coming! Little sidebar,” he slipped when expressing excitement about the group’s catalog hitting streaming services. No other details were disclosed.
