New Music Friday: Usher, T-Pain, Metro Boomin, Doechii and more

Here’s a list of recently released tunes for the latest edition of New Music Friday.

T-PainOn Top Of The Covers — The singer ditched Auto-Tune on the project, which features covers of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and more.

Ni’jahSwarm, — The EP features original sounds from Ni’jah, who plays the fictional star in the Prime Video series Swarm, and appearances from KIRBY and Childish Gambino.

Doechii ft. Kodak Black, “What It Is (Block Boy)” — Using samples from TLC‘s “No Scrubs” and “Some Cut” by Lil Scrappy and Trillville, the song “is a fusion of nostalgia and pop vibes” that “shows off a side of my vocal range … that my fans haven’t really seen yet.”

Usher, “Glu” — Usher’s first single in three years is expected to appear on his ninth studio album, dropping this spring via gamma. He previously teased the video, which stars Lori Harvey.

Xscape‘s LaTocha, “I’m Yours” — The gospel song from LaTocha’s forthcoming debut, The Invitation, is “a reminder that no matter what we’re facing, we are never alone.”

DaBaby & Anthony Hamilton, “Blank” — The song off 2022’s Baby on Baby 2 now has a visual that sees DaBaby face the consequences of sleeping with Hamilton’s love interest.

Coolio ft. Too $hort, “TAG ‘You It’” — The first single from Coolio’s upcoming posthumous album pays homage to the ’90s and “is catchy, raunchy, and raw in all of the right ways.” Its music video is out now.

Metro BoominThe Weeknd21 SavageDiddy, “Creepin’ (Remix)” — The remix includes an appearance from Diddy, who featured on Mario Winan‘s “I Don’t Wanna Know,” which the song partially samples.

K. Michelle, “YOU” — The song off K’s final R&B album, I’m the Problem, is accompanied by a music video.
