Latto‘s recently revealed gun charges may soon be dropped. TMZ reports the rapper, who was caught with a loaded firearm at LAX in May 2021, entered a yearlong diversion program in April 2022.

Per the terms, she must avoid firearms, in addition to completing 120 hours of community service and a gun safety course for her charges to be dismissed. A hearing is set for late April to determine whether she’s fulfilled those requirements.

Talk of Latto’s gun charge came after her feature on Mello Buck‘s “Boom Pt. 2,” in which she rapped, “I got locked up in the airport, goddamn forgot the gun.”

Fans asked about the lyric on social media, and she replied, “Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours lmaooo. booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time!”

Latto was charged with carrying a loaded firearm and a concealed weapon.
