Rick Ross‘ neighbors are pushing to get his car show canceled, but he doesn’t appear to be fazed by their attempts. In an Instagram Story Monday, he said he’s never gotten the easy way out.

“I woundn’t even feel right if they wasn’t boycotting boss, because I never got nothing easy,” said Ross. “It was never handed to me. I would be confused if they just let me get the money. When everybody else just met big rich producers and got record deals and got rich, Ricky Rozay had to do it another way. So, I would be confused if they wasn’t boycotting the boss.”

Ross’ post follows his neighbors’ complaints about the upcoming car show. WSB-TV reports they filed a petition to cancel the event, noting it caused lots of traffic and headaches last year.

“Some of our people already talking about going on vacation or going somewhere during that time because you can’t get out or in,” said Ken Kincaid, a resident of the Northridge subdivision in Fayetteville, Georgia.

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners says they’re taking citizens’ concerns into consideration as they evaluate Ross’ request to hold this event.

The Rick Ross Promise Land Car & Bike Show is slated to take place June 3 at his Promise Land mansion, with a performance from Lil Wayne. More than 6,000 fans are expected to attend the event.
