Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is easing his way into his fashion return. After much controversy regarding his antisemitic social media rants, the rapper hosted a surprise free exhibit in LA on Monday.

Highsnobiety reports “the focus was on a group of skinhead models wearing skin-tight white T-shirts with black pants” and “barely revealed any clothing or fashion designs at all.”

Unlike Ye’s large productions, the event, dubbed YZY FREE, “was held in a rugged-looking store in West Hollywood, with little of note aside from barren industrial walls, rows of lightly-dressed models holding candles, and a sound system,” which reportedly played Frank Ocean‘s “Self Control.”

Ye, who held auditions for bald models and reportedly set the scene, was nowhere to be found.

The secret fashion exhibit comes months after the Yeezy Season 9 fashion show in Paris, where he was spotted wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt. His response to Diddy‘s critique on the tee led to a slew of antisemitic rants, which eventually resulted in his deals with Adidas and other fashion brands being terminated.
