Community Outreach Evansville… Community Outreach Evansville (COE) is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization, created to provide activities and services that help improve overall quality of life of underserved populations in the city of Evansville, IN. Family Day is one of several projects under the umbrella of COE. Community Outreach Evansville, Inc.
The Beginning… Family Day In The Park (now Family Day Cultural Celebration) started in 1999 as a single-day community festival in Bellemeade Park. The event has since moved downtown and expanded into a two-day celebration that includes a Gospel music concert on Friday evening.
What Is Family Day Cultural Celebration… Family Day encompass arts and crafts, a wide variety of food and merchandise vendors, live music performances, kid, teen, and senior activities, petting zoo, bounce house, and fantastic door prizes. There are also special pavilions where you can get checked for high blood pressure, glaucoma, HIV, diabetes and cholesterol; learn about financial literacy, credit reporting services are available; and so much more. The day is filled with music of all genres featuring top regional and national acts as well as great local talent. The bands are definitely the highlight of the festival and over the years attendees continue to demand more live music. Family Day provides an unparalleled opportunity for sponsors, organizations, businesses, community partners, and supporters to increase visibility and brand awareness. Many small business owners have discovered becoming a vendor at Family Day is an easy, affordable way to reach thousands of consumers in one weekend.
