(Note Language) Metro Boomin released his Heroes and Villains album last week, and it was flooded with star-studded collaborations. While it was his goal for all songs to sound good, he admitted in an interview with GQ that he felt compelled to ensure that his features with Young Thug and Gunna, who are incarcerated on RICO charges, and the late Takeoff stood out in a way that would represent them well.

“I was already gonna make sure anything with anybody on here is crazy, but it became more of a responsibility, like, ‘I gotta make sure I do my boys justice, even beyond music,’” he said. “These are my real brothers. I love Thug, I love Gunna, I love Take,” he continued. “I’ve known Take for so long, 10 years, from when we were both 18. We took our first trip to LA together, me, Sonny DigitalMigos.”

Thug appears on the tracks “Trance” and “Metro Spider,” while Gunna can be heard on “All the Money.” Metro intended for Takeoff to guest on three Heroes and Villains songs and get his solo spotlight outside of Migos. After Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston last month, the number of songs was reduced to one: “Feel The Fiyaaaah,” which also features A$AP Rocky.

In his own GQ interview, Rocky seems to tease that more collaborations with Metro Boomin and Takeoff are on the way. “We got other sh**, and it’s crazy. You gon hear it,” he said.
