A viral video of the Dalai Lama requesting a young child suck his tongue has gotten the attention of Cardi B, who seemingly shared her thoughts on social media.

Taking to Twitter early Monday, the rapper wrote, “This world is full of predators. They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children. Predators could be our neighbours, our school teachers, even people [with] money, power, and our churches.”

She also urged parents to “constantly talk with [their] kids about boundaries and what they shouldn’t” allow.

Met with backlash about her past experiences, Cardi B commented on @theneighborhoodtalk’s post in an effort to defend herself.

“How are y’all bringing up a situation from my past when GROWN A** DRUNK MEN were trying to take advantage of me and finesse me out my body because I said protect ya kids from predators?” she asked. “Like do y’all want them to get preyed on or something..? PROTECT OUR KIDS and let them know not to let anyone touch their private parts.”

“Don’t let no one kiss them in their mouth. And always feel comfortable letting mommy and daddy know what happens. If you find a problem wit that then I’m side-eyeing you,” Cardi continued. She reiterated similar thoughts in a brief Instagram Live session.

For the uninitiated, the Dalai Lama was captured kissing a young child and requesting to have his tongue kissed. He’s since issued an apology. “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras,” reads a statement from his office. “[The Dalai Lama] wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.”
