Tracee Ellis Ross is entering the podcast world. The actress is slated to release a new podcast at the end of the month.

I Am America — a partnership with Dear Media — will consist of 10 episodes featuring stories of people of color who are positive influences in their community. The intent is “to act as a counternarrative to stereotypes.”

“We articulate the kind hope, and joy that lives and grows even in the dark reality of this country. We pull back the curtain on often unexplored stories of everyday people who affect their communities with their kindness and humanity,” a synopsis of the podcast says. “These hidden angels inspire possibility through their actions and their stories are the worthy reflections that demonstrate the best of this country. They prove that the power of human connection transcends systemic beliefs, giving us the ability to reimagine and reframe the identity of America.”

I Am America, per the synopsis, will allow people to “see that America is not a monolith but a complex and beautiful promise.” It drops on January 31. Ross executive produced and co-created the podcast.
